The Bucharest Football Project is a friendly football competition addressing the people in the local construction sector. The event was initiated by Gardiner & Theobald in 2008 and held its pilot phase in November 2008.
The aim of the Bucharest Football Project is to bring together people, colleagues and friends in the construction industry who wish to interact outside the usual, work – related environment. We have initiated the event in the spirit of fair play and wish to carry out all its editions on the same note. Our goal is to hold the event twice a year (spring – autumn), increase it in terms of participating companies and players, spectators, and beneficiaries. Starting with the second edition (spring 2009), we wish to incorporate a fundraising component in the event and donate the contributions of participating companies to local NGOs, charities, etc. We are open to fundraising proposals from the NGO sector and hope that the Bucharest Football Project can contribute to helping non – profit organisations reach their objectives.
